First Dance Your PhD contest - report & videos on Science Mag.

'nuff said

For those of you who have done (or are doing) PhDs, erm, how would you "using no words or images, interpret your Ph.D. thesis in dance form"?

I am thinking of pairing-friendly curves and fixed embedding degrees and... well...

well, I don't know if it's because Science was behind it, so although they claim all branches are there, only the ones that appear on Science really are (I saw an exception though). Certainly no one from my area!

in any case, I would have loved to see someone have a go at a mathematical or computer science subject!

It has to help the winner that he had a) a subject directly related to physical actions and b) an excuse to wear a loin cloth. OTOH the guy I mentioned pretty much just goes round and round in circles, which is definitely closer to what I felt about my own research.

*grin* due to the area I am guessing it's not the guy wearing the ghostly big white sheet. I certainly felt often in the black, bumping myself into things! :)
